The Business Challenge: Beyond the Disposable Promotion
The objective required overcoming significant experience and execution hurdles:
- Frictionless Entry: Delivering a rich interactive experience directly inside mobile web browsers without forcing users to install native software.
- Sustained Engagement: Replacing static "win-or-lose" screens with a persistent gamification platform that drives repeated visits.
- Enterprise Security: Protecting digital reward distribution against automated exploit scripts and code duplication.
- Localized Reach: Providing full regional accessibility across multi-lingual markets, including seamless support for Urdu (RTL) and English (LTR).
The Solution: A Persistent, Music-Driven Web Environment
Narsun Studios designed and built Coca-Cola World as a browser-accessible WebGL ecosystem. Instead of a temporary campaign site, the platform operates as an evolving browser-based 3D experience where physical purchases fuel a continuous digital lifecycle.
Phased Launch Strategy
The project was rolled out in strategic phases to maintain continuous consumer interest:
- Phase 1: QR entry, secure UTC vending validation, baseline avatar selection, the 3D World hub, the Fan Wall, and the Blockbuster Run mini-game. .
- Phase 2: Deep avatar customization layers, the Vibe Check Booth, Coke Studio Trivia, and Missing Lyrics Challenge.
- Phase 3: Activation of Beat Lab, the Mixing Lounge, and automated social video exports for external channel amplification.
1. Physical-to-Digital Reward Engine
Scanning a bottle QR code initiates a secure single-sign-on experience. Users enter their Under-The-Cap code to activate a 3D digital vending machine. Server-side authorization ensures every reward deposited into the user's digital wallet is legitimate, turning routine purchases into safe, repeated engagement loops.
2. Digital Identity & Personalization
Upon entering, consumers design a custom 3D avatar—adjusting facial features, skin tones, hairstyles, dynamic clothing layers, and accessories. Avatars persist across user sessions, creating personal ownership and an emotional connection to the platform.
3. Interactive Mood Selection & Atmosphere Control
Inside the 3D world, users freely explore interactive zones. A central feature is the Vibe Check Booth, an environment module designed around an interactive mood-selection experience. Here, visitors select from predefined moods, automatically updating the 3D scene lighting, background visual effects, and mood-specific music playlists, shifting the ambient atmosphere from energetic to relaxed based on their chosen mood.
4. Gamification & Music Ecosystem
Rooted in the energy of Coke Studio, the arcade hub channels competitive play into measurable retention through three primary mini-games:
- Blockbuster Run: A 3-lane endless runner testing players' reflexes as they dodge obstacles and collect coins.
- Coke Studio Trivia: A fast-paced quiz testing users' knowledge of Coke Studio music, artists, and performances, limited to three plays per week to encourage users to return
- Missing Lyrics Challenge: A fast-paced fill-in-the-blank game where a Coke Studio song plays, and at predefined points, users select the correct missing lyric from multiple options before time runs out.
All three games feed into a unified global Fan Wall, driving sustained participation through weekly resets and leaderboard-based rewards.
5. Audio Studio & Content Creation Engine
The Beat Lab offers an interactive music creation experience, giving users intuitive sound-matching and beat-making tools. Players layer drums, bass lines, synth melodies, and guitar loops over customizable BPM presets. Inside the Mixing Lounge, users crossfade their custom tracks with official Coke Studio stems and render branded vertical video clips ready for immediate sharing across social media platforms.
